Mazmur 25:3

25:3 Certainly none who rely on you will be humiliated.

Those who deal in treachery will be thwarted ¹  and humiliated.

Mazmur 39:7

39:7 But now, O Lord, upon what am I relying?

You are my only hope! ² 

Mazmur 71:5

71:5 For you give me confidence, ³  O Lord;

O Lord, I have trusted in you since I was young. ⁴ 

[25:3]  ¹ tn Heb “those who deal in treachery in vain.” The adverb רֵיקָם (reqam, “in vain”) probably refers to the failure (or futility) of their efforts. Another option is to understand it as meaning “without cause” (cf. NIV “without excuse”; NRSV “wantonly treacherous”).
